Trading Systems Engineer

About the Role
Our client is a global proprietary trading firm based in New York City. They are continuing to grow and looking to hire experienced low latency engineers to develop and optimize their trading infrastructure spanning equities, ETFs, futures, options, and more.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale, low latency trading systems;
  • Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to deploy trading strategies;
  • Analyze and improve system performance, including end-to-end optimizations from hardware to software to ensure reliability and scalability;
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in technology and C++ programming language;
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field;
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience building performant, scalable systems in C++, preferably for low latency trading;
  • Experience working in Linux environments;
  • Strong object oriented design and programming skills;
  • Familiarity with network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) and multi-threaded applications;
  • Highly collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental, and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonuses can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
