C++ Core Developer

About the Role
Our client is a global proprietary trading firm focused on digital asset liquidity and cryptocurrency market making. The firm is looking to hire an experienced C++ developer to join their technology team. You’ll be responsible for building tools that enable research and trading, creating and maintaining core frameworks and libraries, managing APIs, building company wide infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and building the underlying platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build or deploy tools that enable researchers and traders to research, design, test, and deploy trading strategies;
- Create and maintain robust frameworks and libraries for modeling and trading applications;
- Develop and optimize trading and data infrastructure and APIs, ensuring seamless integration and communication between internal and external systems;
- Implement automation solutions to enable swift, reliable deployments;
- Optimize trading systems performance, focusing on reducing latency, increasing reliability and scalability;
- Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to deploy trading strategies;
- Analyze and improve system performance, including end-to-end optimizations from hardware to software to ensure reliability and scalability;
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in technology and C++ language;
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a low-latency trading environment;
- Experience building and deploying applications for research and trading;
- Strong object oriented design and programming skills and API development;
- Familiarity with network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) and multi-threaded applications;
- Experience with cloud services, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools is highly desirable;
- Highly collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Familiarity with financial markets, trading systems, or quantitative research is a plus;
In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental, and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonuses can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
